One of the most common questions I get from Chiropractors is how often they should update their website content.
The answer to this question is not going to be the same for everyone, but the theory behind it is the same.
The best answer I can give you is to update your website content with blog posts as much as possible. That might mean once a week or the bare minimum which is once per month. Why?
Google is completely focused on creating a great experience for users who are looking for Chiropractors in your area.
This means Google wants the most relevant content to rank highly in the search engines.
Search engine optimization was one of the first skills I honed in on for my own business and then started helping other business owners. It’s one of the keys to having patients find your practice.
Google wants website content to be user-friendly and helpful instead of some of the spammy content you may see as you search the Internet.
You don’t like spammy content, and neither does Google.
What’s interesting is that Google is constantly looking for keywords and keyword phrases that the user has typed in.
They rank your chiropracticv website content based on those keywords and keyword phrases.
The bottom line is that you need to know what keywords and phrases your potential patients are typing in.
Not only that but the content you share has to make sense. In other words it's not enough to know the proper keywords. You need to write an engaging post. One that your current and potential patients will find value in.
This takes time and research but once you know these keywords and phrases you can add content on a regular basis. The benefit to this is that it increases your chances of ranking higher in the search results. The higher you rank the easier it is for patients to find you.
A Word Of Caution
You can’t write something once or twice and expect your website to stay ranked over the long-term.
In the past that might have worked but not any longer. You also cannot guess what users want to read – you need to know what keywords they are using as I mentioned earlier.
One of the most important things to remember as a Chiropractor is that you need to invest your money and time in getting content written for your site on a regular basis just as much as it’s important to hire the right front desk staff.
